Russian Federation: 38-year-old resident of Syktyvkar accused of alleged HIV transmission
A 38-year-old resident of Syktyvkar is accused of infecting another person with HIV, knowing about the presence of the disease, and knowingly putting him at risk of HIV infection.
According to investigators, in August 2021 Syktyvkar woman, who knew for sure about the presence of her HIV infection, infected a resident of the village Obyachevo with the disease, and in November of the same year, she did not warn a resident of the Ust-Kulomsky area about her disease, putting him at risk of infection.
The criminal case was sent to the Priluzsky District Court for consideration on the merits, said the prosecutor’s office of Komi.
